I have always loved the music of Jerry Lee Lewis. I was born in 1946 so Jerry Lee and I kind of grew up together. Later, I followed him to his wonderful country music. My husband and I down-sized our home and I got rid of my actual records that included many, many Jerry Lee Lewis tunes. I replaced the albums with his CD’s after my husband passed away; I now have 45 JLL CD’s! My interest in Jerry Lee was rekindled after listening to “Last Man Standing.” I told everybody about that CD and encouraged them to purchase “Last Man Standing” because of JLL and so many of the other aging rockers and country crooners. I even drove to Ferriday, LA. to see exactly where Jerry Lee, Jimmy Swaggert and Mickey Gilley came from. I will see JLL at the Florida Strawberry Festival on March 2, 2018. I know that the old boy is moving more slowly now, but aren’t the rest of us always moving a little slower these days? I just love the music of Jerry Lee and I appreciate the gift he has shared with the world over such a long span of time.
