an American Glam Metal Band that was founded in 1980 in Los Angeles. The Band consisted of musicians Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars, Tommy Lee and Vince Neil. Both singer Neil as a drummer, Lee had been replaced in the 1990s at times by other musicians. In spite of many legal disputes and private problems, the Band consisted of up to 2015 in their original occupation.
Mötley Crüe are one of the most well-known users of the Heavy-Metal Umlauts, and a pioneer of a style of music that brought a lot of other Bands. To date, they have sold about 50 million albums.
