Originally, Rod Stewart professional wanted to be a football player. He is a passionate supporter of the Scottish national team and Celtic Glasgow. The passion for Scotland was a Stewart from his father, a Scotsman. He sang during the mid-1960s, when Jimmy Powell and the Five Dimensions, Long John Baldrys Hoochie Coochie Men, The Soul Agents, Shotgun Express, Steampacket and the Jeff Beck Group. In 1967, he sang a Demo Version of In a Broken Dream by Python Lee Jackson. After Stewart’s first Solo Successes, the Australian group released the song in 1972, with Stewart’s vocals, without mentioning him as a singer. In 1969 he was lead singer with the Faces reformed Small Faces. These early recordings Stewarts are influenced by the Blues. The Blues influence came in the course of his career more and more in favor of a softer and more natural singing in the Background. The trademark Rod Stewart’s, however, remained his rough voice.

  1. I have inked Rod since he was with the Faces many years back, I have always liked him. I didn’t do so well with the quiz as I’ve had Brain Cancer and that or one of the 3 surgeries or the other treatments have affected my memory, so I am just glad I got some right.
