Charles Augustus Magnussen (or CAM) is the primary antagonist of series 3 of the BBC crime-thriller series Sherlock.He is a media mogul who owns the majority of Western civilization through very careful application of blackmail. He is shown to be even more intelligent than Sherlock, and frequently puts people in mortal danger for his own amusement.

He is a man of good birth and excellent education, endowed by nature with a phenomenal mathematical faculty. At the age of twenty-one he wrote A Treatise on the Binomial Theorem, which has had a European vogue. On the strength of it he won the mathematical chair at one of our smaller universities, and had, to all appearances, a most brilliant career before him. A genius criminal mastermind, cunningly resourceful and remorseless, the only possible rival to Sherlock Holmes' intellect, Moriarty was the first "consulting criminal" in the world and Sherlock's archenemy. Moriarty was clearly a psychopathic and sadistic individual; his psychotic behavior was easily seen by the following traits: intense egomania, grandiosity, extreme self-importance and incapacity for remorse of mercy.

The Hound Of The Baskervilles is a ghostly black dog that has been a fictional icon to the Sherlock Holmes story of the same name.According to an old account, said to have been written in 1742 and describing events which had occurred a century earlier still, during the English Civil War, Hugo Baskerville was infatuated with a farmer's daughter. He kidnapped her and imprisoned her in his bedroom. She escaped and the furious Baskerville offered his soul to the devil if he could recapture her. Aided by friends, he pursued the girl onto the desolate moor. Baskerville and his victim were found dead. She had died from fright, but a giant spectral hound stood guard over Baskerville's body. The hound tore out Baskerville's throat, then vanished into the night.

The Fantom (also known as M and by his real name James Moriarty) is the main antagonist in the 2003 film The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.He is portrayed by Richard Roxburgh, who also portrays Count Dracula.
